Volusia property values jump by more than $3 billion

Volusia property values increased countywide for the third year in a row.

The county’s just values — figures that show the state of the local real estate market — were up by more than $3 billion or 7.5 percent, according to pre-preliminary tax roll estimates released Friday.

Business development across the county helped drive the figures, said County Property Appraiser Morgan Gilreath.
