DAYTONA BEACH — The largest housing development in Daytona Beach’s history just got bigger. Much bigger.
The Canadian developer of a planned 3,400-home Oasis Daytona development just west of Interstate 95 now plans to more than double the project’s size.
Minto Communities on Wednesday put under contract nearly 1,700 additional acres just north of the roughly 1,600 acres it already agreed to buy from Consolidated-Tomoka Land Co. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but Consolidated officials said the sale is expected to close by the first quarter of 2019.
